Apple Adds On-Device AI and Pixelmator Pro Integrations to Creator Studio

The changes aim to speed capture-to-post workflows by combining generative image tools, on-device captioning, edit detection with deep Pixelmator Pro integration tied to upcoming OS releases.

Overview

  • Apple announced the Creator Studio updates on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, delivering new AI tools across Final Cut Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Logic Pro, MainStage, Motion and Compressor.
  • Final Cut Pro gains Generate Captions that runs on-device to make subtitles from audio, along with Edit Detection to split rendered video back into original clips and an Auto Mask tool for isolating subjects.
  • Pixelmator Pro will add natural-language image generation, a curated Content Hub, and deep integration that lets users open and save edited images from Final Cut Pro, Keynote, Pages and Numbers.
  • Capture and output features were expanded with Final Cut Camera support for more ProRes options, an option to disable digital zoom, and Clean HDMI Out, plus Compressor support for Vision Pro metadata.
  • Apple is packaging the suite in Creator Studio Pro at $12.99 per month or $129 per year with sharing for up to six people, and plans to roll many features out alongside iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate.
