Apple Acquires Rights to Everest Biopic 'Tenzing' Starring Hiddleston and Dafoe

The film, directed by Jennifer Peedom, will chronicle the historic 1953 Everest climb by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary.

Tom Hiddleston will portray Edmund Hillary, with Willem Dafoe as Colonel John Hunt.
A search is underway to cast the role of Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa mountaineer.
The screenplay is written by Oscar-nominated Luke Davies, known for 'Lion'.
Jennifer Peedom, acclaimed for her documentaries, will make her scripted feature debut.
The project is produced by See-Saw Films, with filming slated for spring 2025.
