Overview

• Officers responded shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday to a report of suspicious behavior at 80 Clark St. in New Britain.
• During a check of the abandoned property, they found a large container along the backyard fence line and opened it to discover what appeared to be human remains.
• Police established a perimeter around the scene and requested assistance from the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crimes Unit.
• Detectives are working with the State's Attorney's Office and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and a search warrant was executed at the property.
