Overview
- APERC disallowed ₹8,274 crore in carrying costs and other expenses from consumer recovery, sharply trimming DISCOMs’ claims.
- The order covers FY2019–20 to FY2023–24 and reflects ₹1,435 crore in earlier adjustments to past determinations.
- The regulator recorded the government’s undertaking to pay and directed DISCOMs to claim the approved amount from the state.
- Discom-wise totals are ₹1,552 crore for APSPDCL, ₹1,163 crore for APCPDCL, and ₹1,783 crore for APEPDCL, according to an official release.
