Apapale Adoum Pleads Guilty to Murder of Victoria Adams at the Old Bailey

Sentencing is scheduled for October 24 with a life term to follow.

Overview

  • Adoum, 39, entered the guilty plea over the February killing in Hammersmith after being charged earlier this year.
  • Judge Nigel Lickley KC said he will impose a mandatory life sentence on October 24 and set the minimum term.
  • Victoria Adams, 37, was found face down in her bedroom with a bin bag and pillow over her head after at least 10 blows to the head from a mallet bearing her blood and DNA.
  • Police arrested Adoum at the scene following reports of an attempted break-in at the Coulter Road flat, and he has previous convictions for violence.
  • The pair met days earlier at a homeless shelter; Adams had let him stay then asked him to leave, and the court received handwritten notes from Adoum containing derogatory comments about her.
