• Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez voted against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment to strip $500 million from Israel’s Iron Dome funding, saying it would not stop offensive munitions to Gaza.
• Greene’s proposal was defeated in a lopsided 6–422 vote in the House.
• The Democratic Socialists of America condemned Ocasio-Cortez’s decision as inconsistent with her acknowledgment of an Israeli “genocide” and urged her to oppose all Iron Dome aid.
• The DSA also praised Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Summer Lee and Al Green for voting against the amendment.
