Anurag Kashyap will play a fearless, witty police inspector who is a staunch devotee of the Hindu God Ayyappa in the upcoming bilingual film 'Dacoit - Ek Prem Katha.'
The movie, directed by first-time filmmaker Shaneil Deo, is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu and features Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles.
'Dacoit' follows the story of a vengeful convict seeking retribution against his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him, leading to a gripping narrative of love and revenge.
Kashyap has described the role as both fun and challenging, particularly due to the need to deliver the same impact in two languages.
The film is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios, with filming currently underway in Hyderabad and set to continue in Maharashtra.
