- The makers released a teaser for Ghar Kab Aaoge, a redux of Border’s Sandese Aate Hai, recreated by Mithoon with additional lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.
- In a PTI interview earlier, Anu Malik said he expected credit for the redux alongside original lyricist Javed Akhtar.
- He later clarified on Instagram that producer Bhushan Kumar has credited him and said coverage suggesting otherwise was inaccurate.
- Vocals on the new track feature Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh.
- Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh and produced by T-Series and J P Films, is slated for a January 23, 2026 theatrical release.
