- Anu Malik said on Instagram that producer Bhushan Kumar has credited him for the Border 2 track and called contrary reports incorrect.
- ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ is a redux of the 1997 Border classic ‘Sandese Aate Hai,’ originally composed by Anu Malik with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
- The new version is reimagined by Mithoon with additional lyrics by Manoj Muntashir and features vocals from Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, Diljit Dosanjh and Roop Kumar Rathod in some reporting.
- The full song is scheduled to launch on January 2 at a special event in Longewala-Tanot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
- Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh and produced by T-Series and JP Dutta’s JP Films, is slated for a January 23, 2026 theatrical release with Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty among the cast.
