ANTT Expands Electronic Tolls on BR-381 and BR-262 as MPF Reviews BR-040 Rate Hike

Overview

• Nova 381 began charging at three additional plazas on BR-381, completing the five contracted sites, with motorcycles exempt and automatic tag discounts that can reach 5% for cars.
• Way-262 will start 100% electronic tolling on BR-262 at Nova Serrana (km 452.9) and Ibiá (km 665.1) at midnight on November 16, with tag or plate recognition and up to 30 days to pay via app or service points.
• The BR-040 basic toll for cars rose from R$ 14.50 to R$ 21 after ANTT’s October 24 authorization, which Elovias says follows the concession contract.
• The MPF opened an administrative review and argues the new BR-040 tariff should only be charged from November 6, requesting publication of the full calculation, discount rules and the start-date rationale.
