Overview
- The CST recorded 83 antisemitic reports affecting university communities in 2024/25 and 95 in 2025/26, which is far above the 53 reports recorded in 2022/23 and follows an unprecedented 272 in 2023/24.
- Most cases were classed as abusive behaviour, which made up 149 of the incidents logged across the two academic years covered by the report.
- The charity logged two campus incidents it categorised as extreme violence in 2024/25, one in Edinburgh and one in Leeds, marking the first time such events were recorded at universities by the CST.
- University staff were recorded as the perpetrators in 16 incidents across the two years, a trend the CST said is significant because staff hold authority over students and can deter reporting.
