Overview
- The High Anti-Corruption Court on October 22 found former Ternopil Regional Council head Mykhailo Holovko guilty of knowingly filing false asset declarations for 2022–2023.
- He was fined ₴68,000 and barred from holding state or local government posts for one year, with the ban not applying to elected positions.
- Investigators said he failed to declare a 201.9 sq m apartment owned by his mother but used by his family, funds in a bank account, and non-residential assets including a parking space, a car wash and a storeroom.
- Prosecutors estimated the undeclared assets at about ₴2.2 million for 2022 and more than ₴2 million for 2023.
- Part of the 2023 declaration case was closed on August 21 after a legal change raised the criminal threshold, and he separately received a nine-year prison sentence with confiscation in June 2025 for soliciting and receiving over ₴600,000 in bribes.
