- Anthropic has formally selected Accenture as its inaugural embedded evaluator and confirmed a joint plan in which each company expects to invest at least $1 billion over five years to build evaluation capacity.
- The partnership, disclosed Friday, Sept. 18, will place Accenture teams alongside Anthropic staff to run model evaluations, red‑team attacks, alignment checks and tests of safety controls.
- Accenture will draw on its Faculty unit for technical work and will operate non‑exclusively while Anthropic says it will directly pay Accenture for the initial phase as the evaluation model is refined.
- Both firms acknowledge there is no established long‑term funding system for independent evaluators and cast the $1 billion commitments as an urgent, interim step pending pooled industry or government support.
