- Anthropic began showing India-specific rupee pricing on Monday, July 13, 2026, for Claude Pro, Claude Max and Claude Team with listed prices inclusive of local taxes.
- Entry-level Claude Pro is offered around ₹1,999–₹2,000 per month while Claude Max is split into higher tiers starting near ₹11,999 and ₹23,999 per month and Team seats are priced per user.
- Users must pay by card or through Apple and Google app-store billing because Unified Payments Interface (UPI) support is not yet available and small price differences appear between the mobile apps and the website.
- The rollout follows June restrictions on some models that left Fable 5 access later restored and Mythos 5 still limited, and it comes as developers have filed a class-action suit and complained about opaque Max usage caps and billing.
