Overview

  • The voice mode beta is available on iOS and Android, enabling full spoken conversations with Claude through one of five distinct voices powered by Sonnet 4.
  • Users can switch seamlessly between text and voice without losing context, and they receive on-screen transcripts and summaries after each exchange.
  • Web search—which taps real-time information online—is now open to every Claude user, including those on free plans.
  • Paid subscribers gain deeper integrations such as a Google Workspace connector for voice mode to access calendars, emails and documents.
  • While voice conversations count toward regular usage caps of roughly 20–30 exchanges for free users, support for voice on the web and via API is still under development.
