• Anthony Mackie earned his first Primetime Emmy nod for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on Apple TV+’s The Studio.
• He also received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Daytime Personality – Non-Daily for his NatGeo series Shark Beach with Anthony Mackie: Gulf Coast.
• The Studio led all freshman comedies with a record-setting 23 Emmy nominations this year.
• During a Tonight Show appearance, Mackie quipped that past collaborations with Ryan Gosling, Jeremy Renner, Bryan Cranston and Ron Howard have made him a “good luck charm” for award recognitions.
• He said he’s honored to be nominated but expects to finish second as votes split between Ron Howard and Martin Scorsese in the stacked guest actor category.
