ANTF and BSF Seize 25.9 Kg Heroin and Glock in Amritsar as Drone-Linked Drug Modules Are Dismantled

Investigators are tracking Pakistan-based handlers led by foreign-based gangster Happy Jatt who allegedly directs cross-border drops via social media.

Overview

  • In a joint operation near Beharwal, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force and Border Security Force arrested Sajan Singh, alias Billa, and recovered 25.9 kg of heroin and a 9 mm Glock pistol, with investigators saying the consignment was flown in by a heavy drone to Daleke a day earlier.
  • Police say the module is run from abroad by Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Jatt, who is accused of coordinating with Pakistan-based smugglers; two more suspects have been identified and a case under FIR No. 252 was registered at ANTF SAS Nagar under the NDPS and Arms Acts.
  • Separately, Amritsar Commissionerate Police arrested Yasin Mohammed with 7.1 kg of heroin in a case allegedly directed by Jagpreet Singh, alias Jagga, after a drone drop in the Ajnala sector, with officers noting the two strengthened ties while lodged in Ludhiana jail.
  • Two additional cartels were busted with six arrests, including two women—one a government school teacher—and a total seizure of 9.066 kg of heroin, with investigators detailing pickups at pre-set spots such as garbage piles or marked poles; FIRs No. 185 and 187 were filed at Chheharta.
  • BSF reported further border-side recoveries tied to the wider effort, including a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone and a 576-gram heroin packet, along with separate arrests that yielded heroin and a pistol.
