ANTAD Reports October Same-Store Sales Up 2.6% in Modest Retail Rebound

The trade group casts the uptick as a recovery from September, positioning Buen Fin as the next demand test.

Total-store sales rose 4.9% year over year in nominal terms, improving from September’s slower pace.
October sales reached 133,300 million pesos, with cumulative January–October revenue at 1,314.8 billion pesos.
Year to date, sales increased 3.2% at same stores and 5.7% at total stores, all reported in nominal figures.
Specialty chains led October gains with same-store growth of 4.6% and total-store growth of 8.0%, ahead of department stores and supermarkets.
ANTAD and its president, Diego Cosío, cite sector projections for Buen Fin on Nov. 13–17 to exceed 200,000 million pesos, with roughly 44% attributed to member chains.
