ANSES Clarifies How Retirees Can Appoint Proxies to Manage Paperwork or Collect Benefits

The agency outlines a free, approval-based process that varies by proxy type and required documentation.

Overview

  • Designated representatives can carry out administrative procedures and collect monthly payments on behalf of retirees and pensioners.
  • Eligible proxies include relatives, tutors or curators, lawyers, diplomatic or consular representatives, hospital or care-facility administrators, mutual aid institutions, special representatives, and, for beneficiaries abroad, certain banks.
  • Beneficiaries must first update their personal and family information in Mi ANSES and bring the required documents, such as DNI and proof of kinship or the Carta Poder PS 6.4 for banks.
  • Turnos are generally scheduled online to present the request, while appointing a family member can be done in an ANSES office without a prior appointment.
  • All proxies must be adults or emancipated minors, ANSES must approve the designation for it to take effect automatically, and the procedure has no cost.
