• The dog ate something from the wayside during the walk and developed clear poisoning symptoms the next day.
• Despite immediate treatment at a veterinary clinic, the dog died of organ failure, according to the case report.
• The treating veterinarian told police the findings indicate a poisoned bait (Giftköder) as the likely cause.
