‘Another Simple Favor’ to Open SXSW 2025 Ahead of May Streaming Release

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reunite in the sequel to the 2018 hit, set to premiere March 7 at SXSW before debuting on Prime Video on May 1.

The sequel, titled ‘Another Simple Favor,’ brings back Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick as they reprise their roles from the original 2018 film.
Directed by Paul Feig, the film will premiere as the opening night feature of the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 7 in Austin, Texas.
Set in Capri, Italy, the plot revolves around Emily Nelson’s (Lively) extravagant wedding, with twists of murder and betrayal teased in the storyline.
The cast includes returning actors Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Bashir Salahuddin, alongside new additions like Michele Morrone and Allison Janney.
Amazon MGM Studios will release the film for streaming on Prime Video starting May 1, 2025.
