'Anon Pls' Series at Max Taps Diablo Cody, Ryan O’Connell as Writers

The series, based on DeuxMoi's book, will explore the rise to fame of a celebrity stylist's assistant who starts a gossip blog.

Diablo Cody and Ryan O’Connell have been selected as writers for the upcoming Max series 'Anon Pls', based on the book of the same name by DeuxMoi and Jessica Goodman.
The series is being produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, with Cody, O’Connell, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and DeuxMoi serving as executive producers.
'Anon Pls' tells the story of Cricket Lopez, an assistant to a celebrity stylist who turns her Instagram account into a celebrity gossip blog, leading to unexpected fame and complications in her personal life.
DeuxMoi began as an anonymous Instagram account about fashion and pop culture, but gained popularity after its creators started sharing celebrity gossip. It now has over two million followers.
Cody is known for her work on films like 'Juno' and 'Jennifer’s Body', while O’Connell created and starred in the Netflix series 'Special'.
