The hike is part of a scheduled update under the concession agreement signed between NICE Ltd.

Overview

  • Effective July 1, tolls on the Electronics City flyover and Attibele plaza rose by ₹5 for cars, commercial vehicles and buses under Bangalore Elevated Tollway’s concession.
  • NICE Road users face increases of ₹3–₹5 per journey for cars and two-wheelers and ₹10–₹25 for buses following its scheduled WPI-linked update.
  • On the 19.5-km BengaluruNelamangala stretch of NH-4, cars now pay ₹30 per trip, ₹45 for round trips and ₹865 for monthly passes, with discounts for return journeys and local commercial vehicles.
  • Two-wheeler commuters on the Electronics City elevated corridor continue to pay ₹25 for single trips but now incur ₹40 for multiple daily journeys, up from ₹35.
  • Commuter associations and small transport operators are urging authorities to re-examine tolls on shorter or cost-recovered stretches to mitigate the burden on daily travellers.
