Annaleigh Ashford Cast as Lead in 'Happy Face' Series

Based on Melissa Moore's true story, the series explores the aftermath of discovering her father is a serial killer.

Annaleigh Ashford, Emmy-nominated and Tony-winning actor, has been cast as the lead in the upcoming Paramount+ series 'Happy Face'.
The series is based on the true crime podcast and Melissa Moore's book 'Shattered Silence', which tells the story of Moore discovering her father was the notorious serial killer known as the 'Happy Face Killer'.
In the series, Moore's father contacts her to claim responsibility for another murder, leading her on an investigation into her father's crimes and forcing her to confront her own identity.
Michael Showalter will direct the first episode of the eight-part series, with Jennifer Cacicio serving as the showrunner.
The series is set to premiere in 2025.
