ANMAT Orders Nationwide Removal of Two Olive Oils and Azelaic-Acid Cosmetics Over False Labels

The regulator says missing registrations make the items untraceable.

Overview

  • Disposiciones 6677/2025 and 6678/2025 prohibit the olive oils Campos de Arauco and Arauco–Artesanal de La Rioja across all presentations, lots and expiration dates.
  • Disposición 6991/2025 bans multiple azelaic‑acid creams and serums, including The Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%, for lacking ANMAT registration.
  • ANMAT cites falsified or absent RNE/RNPA numbers and unknown manufacturing origins, so quality, safety and lawful formulation cannot be guaranteed.
  • Provincial and Buenos Aires City health authorities must enforce withdrawals in stores and on online platforms, with commercialization and advertising halted.
  • The agency also suspends any product labeled with the nonexistent RNE 13005521 and asks consumers to report sightings with label photos to [email protected].
