ANMAT Bans Unregistered Tan Orgánico Cosmetics and Five Missing Stryker Devices

The regulator ordered nationwide removal and prohibition to protect patients and consumers until product registration or traceability is resolved.

Overview

  • ANMAT published Disposición 3754/2026 on Monday banning the sale, use, distribution and advertising of a Tan Orgánico line after finding the items lacked sanitary registration.
  • The prohibition covers seven named products — including body and facial self-tanners, tanning drops, mousse and an exfoliating gel — across all lots, sizes and presentations.
  • The agency began the probe after a notification from Córdoba, verified online offers, and asked marketplaces to take down listings when no matching registrations were found in ANMAT’s database.
  • In a separate Disposición 3753/2026 ANMAT barred five Stryker traumatology instruments after the company reported them missing from a consignment bank at the Hospital Italiano, citing unknown conservation and functionality.
  • Both bans apply nationwide until manufacturers regularize sanitary registration or restore traceability, and they reflect ANMAT’s stepped-up digital monitoring and concern about risks to consumers and surgical patients.
