ANMAT Bans Unregistered Hair Straighteners, Limpimax Bleach and Suspect Soprano Ice Device Nationwide

The regulator cited traceability failures that prevent safety guarantees, ordering withdrawals through newly published dispositions.

Overview

  • Dispositions 7322/2025, 7352/2025 and 7353/2025 were published in the Boletín Oficial and signed by ANMAT head Nélida Agustina Bisio.
  • Four T’ECNOLISS hair-straightening products found without sanitary registration were barred from sale and use, with officials warning such items may contain prohibited formaldehyde linked to acute irritation and increased nasopharyngeal cancer risk.
  • All presentations of Limpimax bleach and cleaners were banned from manufacture, sale, distribution and advertising until regularized after labels showed non-existent registrations and unverifiable addresses, with promotions detected on social networks.
  • ANMAT prohibited the Soprano Ice – Alma device and its head after the registered importer, Sirex Médica S.A., denied bringing them into the country, following an inspection of a Chubut aesthetic center where provenance could not be documented.
  • Authorities in the provinces and Buenos Aires City were instructed to enforce market withdrawals and follow-up actions, citing unknown manufacturing conditions, unverified origin and risks to consumers and operators.
