Overview
- Disposiciones 6991/2025 and 6982/2025 were published Tuesday in the Boletín Oficial, establishing nationwide prohibitions.
- Ten creams, serums and emulsions that declare azelaic acid—sold on platforms such as Mercado Libre and regybeauty.com—were flagged as not registered, including items from The Ordinary, Paula’s Choice, Nine Less, Cos de Baha and other brands.
- Purifiers, filters and repuestos marketed as Pury Water were barred for lacking registration, with inspections linking stock and import paperwork to Pury 14 S.R.L., whose importer registration had lapsed in 2023.
- ANMAT said the goods are “ilegítimos” with unverified origin, formulation and safety, citing Law 16.463 and Resolution 155/98 after electronic surveillance and field inspections.
- The prohibitions cover manufacture, importation, sale, distribution, advertising and use across all presentations and lots; authorities were notified and consumers are urged to stop using the products and report irregular sales, with bans in force until any regularization.
