ANMAT Bans Two Olive Oil Brands Nationwide Over Fake Registrations

Regulators acted after traceability checks flagged falsified labels using nonexistent RNE/RNPA identifiers.

Overview

  • Through Dispositions 7214/2025 and 7215/2025 published Sept. 29 and signed by Nélida Agustina Bisio, ANMAT blocked the elaboration, fractioning and sale of the oils across Argentina.
  • The banned products are Morando Premium extra virgin and Estancia Olivares extra virgin, whose labels carried invalid numbers later confirmed as nonexistent.
  • The prohibitions cover all presentations, lots and expiration dates and apply to physical retailers plus online marketplaces, with immediate market withdrawal orders.
  • Cases began with consumer queries to INAL, which verified the false RNE/RNPA via SiFeGA with Catamarca and Mendoza authorities and logged incidents in SIVA.
  • The measures were communicated to provincial and Buenos Aires City health authorities and extend to any item using the same bogus RNE/RNPA codes, with consumers advised not to use the products and to report sightings.
