ANMAT Bans Seven Coffee Products Nationwide Over Fake Sanitary Registrations

The order follows an INAL probe that found a San Justo plant repackaging for multiple brands without valid establishment or product records.

Overview

  • Disposición 8385/2025, signed by ANMAT head Nélida Agustina Bisio and published in the Official Gazette, forbids production, repackaging and sales across Argentina, including online channels.
  • The measure applies to all lots and formats of items sold under Caffé del Doge, Café Sol, Caffé del Ponte Rialto and a product labeled Expresso Café Crema, including variants such as Doge Rosso Blend, Intenso Blend and Café Línea Baristas.
  • ANMAT classified the goods as apocryphal after detecting RNE numbers that were not in force or belonged to other firms and RNPA numbers that were nonexistent.
  • Authorities initiated sanitary proceedings against Caffé del Doge Argentina – Junio 1995 SRL and the owner of the Café Sol facility, and ordered preventive seizures during inspections.
  • The agency also barred the sale of any product displaying RNPA EXP. No. 4050-141467, and stated the prohibition will remain until the companies regularize their registrations or the administrative process concludes.
