ANMAT Bans Priscila Alisados Hair Products and Counterfeit Chlorhexidine Soap

Citing safety concerns raised by pharmacovigilance and cosmetovigilance alerts, the regulator ordered authorities to step up inspections to enforce compliance.

Overview

  • Through Dispositions 4676/2025 and 4686/2025, ANMAT prohibited use, sale, distribution, advertising, and commercialization of all Priscila Alisados variants and a falsified 500 cc chlorhexidine soap, lot 7916.
  • The unregistered hair treatments included gel botox capilar, shock de keratina, biotin lotions and express straighteners that may release formaldehyde vapors linked to irritations and carcinogenic risks.
  • The bogus chlorhexidine soap was detected by the National Pharmacovigilance System in a Santa Fe clinic and confirmed as counterfeit by the legitimate manufacturer AVC FARMA SA.
  • ANMAT activated its Program of Monitoring and Advertising Oversight to remove unauthorized listings of these products from online marketplaces.
  • The agency called on provincial and City of Buenos Aires health authorities to intensify sanitary controls and withdraw unsafe cosmetics and medical items.
