Anker Recalls Nearly 80,000 Bluetooth Speakers Over Fire Hazard Risk

The recall affects Soundcore and PowerConf models sold exclusively on Amazon in 2023 due to defective lithium-ion batteries.

The recall involves approximately 69,000 units sold in the U.S. and 9,764 in Canada, all purchased between March and October 2023.
Affected models include the Soundcore A3102016 and PowerConf A3302011 and A3302031, with prices ranging from $28 to $130.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has received 33 reports of overheating batteries causing smoke, small fires, and one minor burn injury.
Consumers are advised to stop using the speakers immediately, power them off, and disconnect them from chargers or power sources.
Anker is offering free replacements and detailed instructions for safe disposal of defective units, which must not be discarded in regular trash or recycling bins.
