Overview

  • Anker Innovations is recalling approximately 1.158 million PowerCore 10000 (model A1263) portable chargers sold online between June 2016 and December 2022 in the United States.
  • The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has received 19 reports of fires and explosions linked to the devices, resulting in two minor burn injuries and $60,700 in property damage.
  • Recalled units can be identified by the Anker logo engraved on the front and the A1263 model number printed on the bottom edge of the charger.
  • To participate in the recall, customers must submit photos showing the device’s model and serial numbers and the word “recalled” to claim either a $30 gift card or a replacement power bank.
  • The company advises against disposing of the batteries in regular trash or recycling bins, directing consumers to municipal household hazardous waste collection centers for safe disposal.
