Animal Rights Activists Crash Epsom Derby, 19 Arrested

The Epsom Derby went ahead as planned despite attempts by Animal Rising protesters to disrupt the event.
Police made 19 arrests in connection with planned disruption before the festival began.
The Jockey Club obtained a court injunction banning the protesters from the event.
The protesters sought to demonstrate against the treatment of horses at the Derby.
There were no major disruptions to the race itself which was won by Auguste Rodin.
