Overview

  • The free Version 3.0 patch is available now after a surprise early rollout that aligns with New Zealand eShop timing.

  • Version 3.0 adds a resort hotel, island specialty requests, Slumber Island creative builds, Resetti’s Reset Service, and collaborations like LEGO and The Legend of Zelda.
  • Switch 2 features include resolutions up to 4K when docked and 1080p handheld, mouse support for decorating and design, a microphone megaphone to locate villagers, and multiplayer for up to 12 players.
  • Players can manually install the patch via the game’s Software Update menu, and existing owners are reported to be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition for $5.
