• Long‑distance services between Halle/Leipzig and Berlin are diverted via Dessau with fewer frequencies and up to 60 minutes longer journeys, including FlixTrain services that pass Dessau without stopping due to short platforms.
• Lutherstadt Wittenberg loses all long‑distance calls until December 13, the RE3 to Berlin is suspended with two‑hourly buses to Teltow adding over an hour, and S‑Bahn links between Bitterfeld and Wittenberg are replaced by buses that take more than twice as long.
• Bitterfeld gains hourly direct trains to Berlin and Munich, Leipzig keeps an hourly Berlin ICE and doubles Munich ICE links to hourly, while Halle loses about two thirds of its direct trains to Berlin and Erfurt sees notable cuts to Berlin and Munich.
