Angels Promote Top Draft Pick Sam Bachman to Majors, Designate Moronta

Sam Bachman, the Los Angeles Angels' first-round pick in the 2021 draft, has become the first top-10 selection from that draft to reach the major leagues.
The Angels promoted Bachman from Double-A Rocket City and plan to use him out of the bullpen.
Bachman is known for being a power pitcher who can throw in the upper 90s.
To make room for Bachman on their roster, the Angels designated veteran reliever Reyes Moronta for assignment.
Bachman was the ninth overall pick in the 2021 draft.
