Angela Stanford Named U.S. Captain for 2026 Solheim Cup in the Netherlands

Angela Stanford, a seven-time LPGA Tour winner and 2018 major champion, has been officially appointed as the U.S. captain for the 2026 Solheim Cup.
The 2026 Solheim Cup will take place at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands, from September 11-13, marking a significant challenge for the U.S. team on foreign soil.
Stanford brings extensive experience, having competed in six Solheim Cups as a player and served as vice captain in the last three events.
The U.S. team, featuring a young core of players like Nelly Korda and Lilia Vu, is coming off a pivotal victory in Virginia in 2024, their first since 2017.
Sweden's Anna Nordqvist, a three-time major champion and veteran of nine Solheim Cups, will captain the European team for the 2026 competition.
