The seizure capped a week of coordinated ANF operations that netted 304.33 kilograms of narcotics nationwide.

Overview

  • ANF called the 47kg cocaine recovery from an imported scrap container the largest cocaine bust in the force’s history.
  • Risk profiling flagged seven containers bound for Gujranwala for inspection, with cocaine found in one after detailed checks.
  • Separately, officials intercepted 300kg of crystal meth concealed in animal feed in a Karachi Port container destined for Qatar.
  • The nationwide sweep led to four arrests, including a woman, with cases registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations ongoing.
  • Additional actions recovered psychotropic tablets, hashish and meth in Islamabad, Khanewal, Peshawar and Kohat, and the ANF said some suspects admitted supplying students.
