Overview
- Lote 2 in Amazonas, a 48.25 MW package with 29 of the auction’s 80 registered proposals, was withdrawn after the MME’s request.
- The affected lot would have supplied municipalities including Anamã, Anori, Caapiranga, Codajás and Coari, with some flagged for immediate supply needs.
- A 2009 Petrobras–TAG agreement guarantees 6.7 million m³ per day only until 2030, and projects from this lot would start operating afterward, making tariff predictability critical.
- Bid guarantees for Lote 2 will be returned, and the auction on September 26 will proceed with Lote 1 in Amazonas (8.8 MW) and Lote 3 in Pará (9.9 MW).
- Aneel director Fernando Mosna criticized the removal as unwarranted, director-general Sandoval Feitosa warned late changes hinder the agency’s agenda, and the ANP’s tariff-criteria consultation is presented as a path to clarity.
