Overview
- The partners unveiled the EDGE-Anduril Production Alliance and disclosed a UAE order for 50 Omen aircraft to anchor initial output.
- Omen is a mid-size Group 3 tailsitter, roughly 10 feet tall on its tail, intended to deliver larger-aircraft endurance and payload in a compact airframe.
- The aircraft is dual use, so military mission fits will trigger US and UAE export controls, and hybrid-electric propulsion developed with Archer Aviation enables runway-independent flight.
- EDGE is investing $200 million on top of Anduril’s $850 million prior spend, with a plan to reach full-rate production by the end of 2028.
- Production for regional customers will occur in the UAE, while any US orders would be built at Anduril’s Arsenal factory in Ohio.
