Andruw Jones Elected to Hall of Fame With 78.4% of BBWAA Vote

The Braves great becomes the Hall’s first Curaçao-born player following a years-long rise in support.

Jones secured induction in his ninth year on the writers’ ballot after debuting at 7.3% in 2018 and reaching 66.2% in 2025.
The Class of 2026 will be enshrined July 26 in Cooperstown, where Jones joins Carlos Beltrán and Jeff Kent.
Across 17 MLB seasons he hit 434 home runs with 1,289 RBIs and won 10 straight Gold Gloves, with Baseball Reference crediting him with the highest defensive WAR by an outfielder at 24.4.
He is slated to manage Team Netherlands at the 2026 World Baseball Classic in Miami this March.
Jones said he had doubted the call would come and learned of his election while at a golf event in the Dominican Republic.
