• Live Updates deliver real-time progress notifications for supported ride-share and delivery apps while forced auto-grouping merges multiple alerts from the same app into a single notification.
• Advanced Protection mode provides a single-tap security suite that blocks malicious apps, scam calls, unsafe websites and outdated network connections.
• Hearing-aid enhancements let users switch to the phone’s microphone for clearer calls in noisy settings and adjust device settings directly from Android’s system controls.
• Later in 2025, Android 16 will gain Material 3 Expressive design components and desktop-style windowing for tablets and foldables to improve interface cohesion and productivity.
