Former NY Governor Appears on "Real Time With Bill Maher," Criticizes President Biden and Justice Department, and Challenges the Conduct and Findings of 2021 Investigation That Resulted in Resignation

Former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo attributed his political downfall to 'cancel culture on steroids' during his appearance on "Real Time With Bill Maher." He highlighted that 11 cases were enough to trigger 'cancel culture' that led to his resignation.
Cuomo also criticized President Biden's swift call for his resignation without reading the report of the 2021 investigation. He indicated that Biden's action set a fall like dominoes among Democrats.
He expressed his disbelief that despite five district attorneys declining to prosecute him, the New York State Assembly’s Judiciary Committee cited 'overwhelming evidence' of alleged crimes. He mooted that this was a means to reinforce the findings of New York Attorney General Letitia James' investigation.
He suggested James’ motivation to succeed him as NY governor framed the investigation, ascribing the overall reaction to the number of cases (11), ignoring the contents of the report.
His former chief of staff, Melissa DeRosa, defended Cuomo asserting that The New York Times, a champion of the Me Too movement, unfairly targeted him and further fueled the allegations.
