Andrew Chafin, a veteran left-handed pitcher, has agreed to a one-year, $4.25 million deal with the Detroit Tigers.
The contract includes a club option for 2025, which is worth $6.5 million, or a $500,000 buyout.
Chafin, 33, previously played for the Tigers in 2022, where he had a 2.83 ERA in 64 relief appearances.
Last season, Chafin played for the Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks, where he had a 4.73 ERA in 63 combined appearances.
The contract also includes incentives worth up to $1.25 million each season.
