Andreessen Horowitz Bets on U.K. Crypto Hub With First Overseas Office

Andreessen Horowitz is opening its first international office in London to support blockchain startups as the regulatory environment in the U.S. grows increasingly hostile.
The London office will focus on cultivating the crypto ecosystem and be led by general partner Sriram Krishnan.
The U.K. government sees the promise of Web3 and is working with the industry to create pro-decentralization policies.
In addition to the new office, Andreessen Horowitz plans to launch its "Crypto Startup School" accelerator program in London in 2024.
The move suggests Andreessen Horowitz believes in the long-term potential of crypto, especially outside the U.S.
