Overview
- Romulus, 42, was taken into custody Monday and is charged with criminal homicide in the death of a woman found over the weekend in Franklin County.
- Police say officers conducted a welfare check around 2:20 a.m. Saturday on West Washington Street and the woman, found unconscious, later died at a hospital.
- An affidavit states the victim suffered severe head and facial trauma and alleges Romulus intentionally assaulted her, causing her death.
- Authorities say he fled Chambersburg after the killing and was located with assistance from the sheriff’s office and the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force.
