Andre Douglas Named Backup Astronaut for Artemis II Moon Mission

- Douglas has an extensive background in engineering and space missions, including work on planetary defense and lunar exploration.
- He joined NASA in 2021 and graduated from astronaut training in March 2024.
- Douglas will train alongside primary crew members Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen.
- Canadian astronaut Jenni Gibbons has also been named as a backup for the mission.
