Overview
- Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu formally launched the Green Hydrogen Valley Declaration-2025 on July 21 to drive sustainable industrial transformation in the state.
- It commits to building 5 GW of electrolyser manufacturing capacity and producing 1.5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2029.
- The state will slash production costs from ₹460 to ₹160–170 per kilogram by 2029, supported by a 25 GW Green Energy Corridor for renewable power transmission.
- The roadmap targets local sourcing of 60% of electrolyser components and storage solutions by 2030 through at least three new manufacturing units.
- The declaration creates a ₹500 crore innovation fund for 50 startups, establishes a skilling ecosystem to train 2,000 specialists per year and appoints a multi-stakeholder advisory board to oversee progress.
