Andhra Pradesh Starts Village Rollout of QR-Coded Pattadar Passbooks

Officials say the re-surveyed, state-emblem passbooks will tighten land records, easing farmer access to services.

  • Each document carries the State Emblem and a QR code linked to the Webland database for instant online verification of land details.
  • In Gudivada constituency, MP Kesineni Sivanath and MLA Venigandla Ramu launched the drive with a goal of giving 25,000 passbooks free through January 9.
  • Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu called the initiative a New Year gift, reviewed a statewide rollout covering about 22 lakh passbooks from January 2 to 9, and criticized practices under the previous government.
